July 2008
Since our update below in May 2008 there have been some changes.
MLPA Surveyors remains at 181 Kensington High Street. Sadly we reported the death of Bob Bradford. Hugh Marshall and Bob Bradford retained their links through their cross consultancies between the two practices of Marshall Lodge Patch Associates and Meadowcroft. Marshall Lodge Patch Associates changed its name to Marshall Land & Property Associates LLP at the start of 2008 and with Bobs untimely death in January this year, the formal cross consultancy ceased. Meadowcroft has also moved on with Simon Kibble amalgamating Meadfowcroft's commercial side with Frost & Partners in Hammersmith to form Frost Meadowcroft as a commercial agency. Meadowcroft Surveyors LLP still remains at 181 Kensington High Street and although there is no longer a formal tie a working relationship is retained between the two firms.
May 2008
Our Practice started life as Marshall Lodge Patch Associates LLP in April 2005 and this year changed its name to Marshall Land & Property Associates LLP. The contact numbers address and all website and email details are retained. The change was brought about following the departure of Mark Lodge Patch who left the LLP in March 2007. We have thus completed our third year since MLPA was formed out of the Building Surveying section of Meadowcroft. The Practice was formed from the Building Consultancy of Meadowcroft who now trade as Meadowcroft Surveyors LLP. The Practice continues to operate alongside Meadowcroft from offices at 181 Kensington High Street and close links are retained between the two Firms.
At the end of the 2006/2007 financial year Marshall Land & Property Associates saw its first major change. Mark Lodge Patch who formed the Practice with Hugh Marshall, having spent the previous 5 years working for Meadowcroft after obtaining a degree in Building Surveying, decided to move back into the Construction Industry and resigned his partnership in the LLP with effect from 1st April 2007. At the same time, Maureen Scanlan joined the LLP to take up an administrative role. Maureen previously spent nearly thirty years in the Holiday business with marketing and IT responsibilities. The Practice changed its name to Marshall Land & Property Associates LLP early in the new year.
Over the last three years the involvement of the firm’s consultants has become much more integrated. This is particularly so of Stuart Brown bringing his architectural skills to our clients in a number of projects that the firm has become involved in. Clive Watson’s engineering skills have likewise been to the fore in projects through his BW Engineering Consultancy and we continue to work very closely enabling the firm to advise on, and implement, construction projects both new build and refurbishment. The firm has also seen success on Planning with a particularly pleasing successful appeal against refusal of Listed Building Consent on the Grosvenor Estate.
It is with great regret that we report the sad death of Bob Bradford of Meadowcroft who became a consultant to the firm on the formation of our new practice. Bob Bradford and Hugh Marshall were partners at Meadowcroft for 22 years having re-established Meadowcroft in 1983. Bob passed away after a very short illness in January 2008.
Please note that there are contact forms for survey work and general items so we hope that the site will be useful to our clients and future clients in enabling you to contact us and for us to return your contacts and answer your questions.
There are some links on the site already and these will slowly be increased and edited. We have included a few that are not directly surveying related that we hope you enjoy.
The firm is active in the fields of Management Surveying, Refurbishment, Surveying and Party Wall matters currently. The past two years have been very busy and the work continues to flow. We maintain our original Meadowcroft contacts who have continued to instruct us and the past two years have seen the development of many new clients whom we warmly welcome.
We will be updating the site on a regular basis and hope that it proves of interest to you.
